October Meeting - A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all who attended the West Kent Military Lodge Festival of Remembrance meeting and our thanks go to all the Brethren for their continued support.
The October meeting was ‘Tyled’ at 1730hrs with 96 Brethren in attendance (once again additional chairs were required in the Lodge Room). Of those in attendance there were; an Entered Apprentice, 2 x Fellow-crafts, 15 Master Masons, 6 x Ruling Masters & 5 Past Masters, so a quarter of those attending were light blues.

The main event was a presentation from VW Bro Mark Eyles-Thomas, WM of the Lodge, regarding his experiences during the Falklands War (Operation Corporate 1982) with the 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment.

2 new joining members were successfully balloted for during the meeting. These members will be formally welcomed into the Lodge in January 2024 when they 'take-up' their membership (Lodge new financial year).
6 further applicants' details were read out by the Secretary. These members will be balloted for at the January installation meeting (26th) and if successful will also take up their membership then.
The Festive Board was a Festival of Remembrance and the tables (top table and 5 sprigs) were decorated accordingly (black coverings, poppies and remembrance table cards and packs).

95 brethren dined and all were treated to a pack:

The packs proved to be a huge success with everyone and it is hoped that the Beauchamp Lodge crosses will be laid at various events throughout the Province on Remembrance Sunday.
Another wonderful evening in the company of great brethren.
