Incredible Double leap year

Did you know that next year is a double leap year?

A year has 365 days 6 hours and 50 seconds, in that it takes that amount of time for the Earth to make a complete orbit of the Sun.

Therefore, every 4 years we take the 4 x 6 hours and add an additional day. We call that a leap year and add a day on to February making it (February) 29 days.

However, what about the 50 seconds?

Well there are 84,000 seconds in a day and if you divide that by 50 it equals 1,728, and the last double leap year was in 296 AD.

So next February (2024) will have 30 days in it.

Isn't that amazing and incredible. You will never experience this again. There is also a fraction of a second measured by an Atomic clock thought so small that it doesn't require an adjustment.
