We will shortly be on Parade 26th (this Friday) and, due to the ceremony being undertaken (a double raising and an installation), we have had to restrict numbers as the Lodge Room simply cannot accommodate ceremonies with too large an audience. We can only apologise to our much valued and highly respected supporters of our Lodge who have been unable to secure a place at this meeting. For the future we are considering a ‘Mess’ membership that will afford ‘Mess’ members a ‘priority’ on attendance and a definite place at the Festive Mess …. watch this space
For those on parade 26th be aware that the DC will be inspecting, to which end we trust you have all polished your medals and boots and that your headdress has been brushed - you have been warned!

The Festive Board will be commemorating the Defence of Rorke’s Drift, 22/23rd January 1879 (white pith helmets will be provided) so be prepared for action:
Rear Rank - Fire!, Centre Rank - Fire! Front Rank - Fire!

Once again Leon, our Chef, has gone over and above to provide us with an excellent menu in-keeping with the theme for the evening, the cost of which is £25 (please pay the Treasurer ASAP).
Starter - Leek soup,
Main - Bobotie (South African dish),
Savoury Pudding - Welsh Rabbit with Worcester (on this occasion 24th Warwickshire) sauce
Cheese & Biscuits
Tea/Coffee

A couple of general points to hopefully assist in maximising everyone’s enjoyment of the evening:
