2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment have been crowned Army boxing champions for 2023 after a dramatic night of action in Aldershot.

The final saw 2 PARA take on 1 Royal Anglian Regiment, who are based in Cyprus, in front of a passionate audience at the Army Combat Centre.

The first half of the night saw close contest with the scores level at the interval but 2 PARA pulled away to win the title by a 5-4 score on the night.

Commiserations to the Royal Anglian Regiment and congratulations to 2 Para.

It is said that the Army Boxing Championship title has only not been in the Parachute Regiment’s hands in 3 of the last 20 so years and for 2 of those years the Regiment did not enter a team due to operational commitments.
