The October 25 meeting started with the current Master W Bro Ray Armstead introducing a number of the visitors to the Brethren, the first introduction was W Bro Peter Nilsson CBE. Peter, in his past, had been instrumental in the forming of the Belgium Grand Lodge (under the auspices of the UGLE) and a brief resume of Peter’s activities (both Masonic and personal) including his military service was read to the brethren after which a number of the present (and Past) West Kent Executive were introduced. All visitors were received warmly by the brethren in attendance. Brethren visiting the Beauchamp Lodge, for the very first time were also warmly welcomed by the Worshipful Master, as was the recently appointed (June 25) Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W Bro Daniel Unthank PAGDC a subscribing member of the Lodge.

Lodge business included; a ballot for the initiate (the ballot proved successful), and the details of another candidate for initiation (for the January 2026 meeting) were read out to the brethren. All Lodge Reports were then taken, prior to the second entrance, after which the main event of the evening followed, being the ‘Ceremony of Initiation’ of Sean Ballard. The ceremony was conducted by the WM ably supported by his Officers. Another wonderful and very enjoyable ceremony.

The Membership Officer announced that along with the candidate for initiation there were also a number of other interested parties that have expressed an interest in joining the Beauchamp Lodge in 2026.

The Brethren then retired to the Mess Hall for a Festival of Remembrance, which included a hearty 3-course meal followed by tea and coffee - all selected, prepared and served by Leon the Chef and his team of waitresses.
