Peter Whapshott, Mayor of Dartford (VIP visitor), was warmly welcomed to West Kent Military Lodge (Beauchamp Lodge No. 1422) at Wilmington, where he attended a recent meeting of the Lodge to receive a cheque in support of the Dartford Veterans Breakfast Club.

The VIP visit marked an important moment of shared purpose between the Lodge and the wider local community. The Dartford Veterans Breakfast Club plays a vital role in supporting veterans by providing regular opportunities for companionship, mutual support, and access to help for those who have served.
The Mayor has been instrumental in the establishment of the Dartford Veterans Breakfast Club and continues to be an avid supporter and tireless champion of its work. His ongoing commitment has helped ensure that veterans in the Dartford area have a welcoming and supportive environment where friendships are formed and no one feels isolated.
The presentation of the cheque reflects the Lodge’s long-standing commitment to supporting veterans, serving personnel, and those connected with the armed forces and civilian services. It was a privilege for the Brethren of Beauchamp Lodge to contribute to an organisation whose values so closely align with their own.
West Kent Military Lodge extends its sincere thanks to the Mayor for taking the time to visit the Lodge, for his continued advocacy on behalf of veterans, and for the leadership he has shown in strengthening support within the local community.
