Joining members6 - The West Kent Military Lodge is extremely pleased to announce that at the June 2024 Lodge meeting 3 joining members were balloted for and all three ballots proved successful. These joining members are all ex-forces; 1 x ex Parachute Regiment, 1 x ex Queensman and 1 x ex Navy and were subsequently welcomed into the Lodge by the Worshipful Master and issued with a copy of the Lodge by-laws.

Two further joining members who had both been balloted for at the April meeting ‘subject to receipt of their certificates’ were, although absent from the meeting, acknowledged by the Master as members of the Lodge as of the June meeting; 1 x Royal Engineer and 1 x Parachute Regiment Recruit.

The candidate for initiation was balloted for (details read out at the April meeting), the ballot proved in favour of the candidate and he was subsequently initiated.

In summary 5 joining members and an initiate (6 new members) were received into the Lodge at the June meeting.

In addition to the above 3 further joining members’ details and two candidate’s details (for initiation) were read out. The Joining Members included 1 x ex Royal Signals, 1 x Officer of the Most Venerable Order of St John, Knight of the Order of St Gregory the Great, Aide de Camp, and Honorary Life President of the Royal British Legion and 1 x military enthusiast. The candidates for initiation included 1 x ex Airborne Royal Engineer and 1 x military enthusiast.

Finally we also have a number of expressions of interest to join our Lodge from ex-serving personnel (17 in total of which 4 are initiates), which we hope to covert to applications over the next two seasons.
