Support Our Paras charity

Further to our previous posts the Province of West Kent has recently joined the list of contributors to the Support Our Paras charity. As a Province we are certainly leading the way with efforts to raise money for this fantastic charity.

West Kent Lodges are showing fantastic support for the Support Our Paras Charity.

The Beauchamp Lodge No. 1422 has just donated an incredible amount of £2,000 following a presentation from V W Bro Mark Eyles-Thomas titled, "The Falklands War, my experiences".

Mark was a member of the 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment during the campaign and fought on Mount Longdon his platoon Sergeant (Ian McKay) being posthumously awarded a Victoria Cross.

Beauchamp Lodge join; the Borough of Woolwich Lodge No. 6610 who led the way, when Mark gave his first ‘Falklands’ presentation to the Lodge in May 2023, with an extremely generous donation of £1,000 and the Ordnance Lodge No. 2399, who had some of their Lodge members in attendance at the Borough of Woolwich Lodge presentation, who matched this generosity by also donating £1,000 to the charity. Mark has agreed to undertake a presentation at the Ordnance Lodge at their February 2024 meeting.
