Joining members8 - The West Kent Military Lodge is extremely pleased to announce that the 3 joining members’, application forms previously read out at the October meeting, were all successfully balloted for at the January 2025 Lodge meeting.

This enabled 5 joining members to take up their membership with the Lodge, as of January, increasing our membership total from 36 subscribing members to 41.

We also welcome Barry Theobald-Hicks as an Honorary member.

2 further joining members application forms were also read out in open Lodge and these members will be balloted for at the April meeting. Since the January meeting we have also received a further application form for another potential joining member. This form will be read out at the April meeting and balloted for in June.

We have two potential candidates for initiation both are being processed by the Secretary and the Lodge committee. Hopefully we will see both of these candidates initiated into the Lodge in 2025.

In addition to the above we also have a number of other expressions of interest (to join our Lodge) from ex-serving personnel (12 in total) and a possibility of 2 further candidates for initiation (at a later stage). It is hoped to convert these expressions of interest and candidates for initiation over the next two seasons.

2025 is the year that the Beauchamp Lodge will celebrate 50 years of being at the Wilmington Masonic Hall and it is hoped that we can couple this with 50 subscribing members. Let’s do all we can!
